Sanmar, reaps benefits from SHOPtrack
Xomox Sanmar, Trichy-based manufacturer of special valves and part of the Rs. 1000 Crore Sanmar group, uses SHOPtrack to monitor its CNC machines which run 3 shifts. Mr. T. Subramaniam, Manager, says "Supervisors no longer stand near machines and ask the operators about non-productive time and productivity. Managers get all production data at their tables on their PC itself. Since we implemented SHOPtrack we have managed to reduce cycle time by 10 % and load / unload time by 20 %." Mr.V.Nagarajan AVP- Manufacturing is impressed with the reports that SHOPtrack is able to generate and feels that no CNC shopfloor is complete without a productivity measuring system like SHOPtrack.
